Touch ID security in flat or switch?

broke the touch id flat replacing topcase…

Is the security in the button or on the flat cable?

i am thinkin of buying a new touch id cut it and solder the button to my old flat will this work?

I dnt want to change my logic case and i like to use the fingerprint 😅

So is t2 security thing in flat or in button itself?

The sensor is the top black plate, the power button is the blister switch below. Sadly, without the original sensor your system won’t work properly. This will require a new logic board and the mated sensor.

@gjvjojvnsj4nn12 - Apple designed the part so it can’t be altered as that effects the security of the TouchID and the invalidates the T2 encryption so the system is the workable.

The first image is the TouchID sensor marked in red. The second image is the power switch again marked in red.
