Shell replacement gone wrong

I decided to replace the shell on my controller because the white was getting boring and I wanted a controller that stood out. After I put the controller back together again while being gentle and to not touch the motherboard or anything I shouldn’t, it wouldn’t turn on. I’ve tried to see if it was a charging issue and plugged it into it’s original c port charger but it only pulsed orange for a second and went back to being dead. I left it like that a whole day and came back to it being still dead. Is it a battery problem or something bigger?
