Game cartridge has no sound (all others work fine)

I have an issue with my Goldeneye cartridge it hasn't any sound since 2005 (can't remember if it ever had sound in honesty) but I have come across another in Shadow Man which I have purchased recently. I can confirm that all other games that I own work without any issues.

I've scoured the internet and have not come across a similar issue only with the N64 itself not producing sound.

Any help or tips would be appreciated!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@monsterthemash since this is only happening with the one cartridge, it is not your console, but the cartridge. OF course, you checked all the settings to make sure the volume is turned on etc. After that, time to tear it apart and to look for any damage.

I don't think this could be an issue with the console, but test the cartridge in another one if possible, just to rule it out for sure. Assuming it is the cart, check for any loose or broken solder joints, particularly on chip legs. Try to gently wiggle each one a bit, and reflow any that move
