Reviving a dead MacBook Pro battery

I have a battery (A1775) which gave 95% of its original capacity according to Coconut Battery ... two years ago. I made the mistake of letting the cells go completely dead for those two years. Now I want to use it again.

I tried wrapping the battery in newspaper, putting it in the freezer for one week, "defrosting" it for one day, and plugging it in for charging. I'm still only getting a green light on the Magsafe and no pip activity on the battery. The first pip did activate for an instant when the battery was popped in and the Magsafe was already in place.

Anything else I can try to revive this battery?

Thanks for reading!
