Hi @qixu,

How old is the laptop as it seems a very recent model?

If it is less than 12 months old from new, contact the Acer customer service centre in your location about a manufacturer's warranty repair.

Overheating indicates excess current is flowing through the jack so presumably there's a problem somewhere on the motherboard. Possibly component failure unless the laptop has suffered water damage or it it has been dropped of course.

If it hasn't suffered water damage or been dropped and if it is <12 months old, get it fixed under warranty. That's what it is there for. Do not open the laptop to try and see what's wrong as usually doing this voids the warranty.
