Stuck one Apple Logo without status bar

Hi

The imac turned off one day. Currently it only boots to Apple logo, then restarts, the logo appears again, then screen goes black. I can't get into disk selection or Apple Diagnostics.

Replacing the ram, hard drive (both HDD and flash), power supply does not help.

What could be the reason?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Try using an Apple USB keyboard to get to the onboard diagnostics. Press the D key as soon as the screen flickers to get to diags. Let us know what you get.

Hi. Is there any update on this case? I do have similar problems here.

@mahew2 - Sadly this sounds like a logic board issue.

by

@mahew2 if you have wired keyboard, did you try reset NVRAM or hold ALT key to see if you have option to boot from another device ?

by

Thanky @roboscrap & @danj. Unfortunately, no keyboard command is working on boot. iMac is already disassembled and logicboard is going to be inspected. Since @hubertpudelek seemed to have exactly the same symptoms, it's likely a similar cause – therefore the question if there were any new findings.

Oh, and btw: All 4 LED's on the motherboard are lighting up.
