Replacing the USB-A Port
Can the USB-A port be replaced on this model, and if so, what parts are needed?
Is this a good question?

Hi @brian46050,
Which USB-A port (aka USB host port) are you referring to?
There are 2 x USB-C and 1 x USB 3.1 on the left side and a USB3.1 on the right side of the laptop.
They are all hard mounted on the systemboard so it won't be an easy repair.
Once you have found the correct USB connector (there are a few variations regarding mounting options - search on places such as mouser.com and digikey.com) the systemboard would have to be removed from the laptop so that it could be replaced.
This would require smd soldering etc. USB-C is harder because there are a lot of pins involved.
Here's the hardware maintenance manual that may help
