How do I replace the circle pad?

Hello so the rubber cap broke off of my circle pad on 2ds. How do I replace it?

First you'll need to open up the back of the console. Oddly enough, it only has Phillips screws, no tri-wings on this one. There are 2 on the battery cover (they don't come all the way out, but this is normal), 6 under the battery cover, and 4 on the bottom of the unit.

Once you're in there, the white square is the circle pad. It's held in by 2 screws, you need to remove these. Also detach the ribbon cable that's connected to it.

The circle pad should pull right out. You can then install your replacement circle pad by screwing it back up in reverse order.
