Computer unexpectedly shutting down after battery replacement

I recently replaced my battery with an ifixit battery. I calibrated the battery per the instructions, but the computer is unexpectedly shutting down while I still have significant battery life remaining (i.e. 62%). It will restart immediately and will sometimes run for a decent amount of time and sometimes shut down again immediately. It seems to run fine while plugged into the power adapter.

Answer this question I have this problem too

  1. Check battery health: Use a tool such as CoconutBattery (Mac) or BatteryInfoView (Windows) to check the health of your battery. If the health is low, it may be time to replace the battery again.
  2. Reset SMC: Try resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) on your computer. The steps to do this vary depending on the model of your computer. You can find instructions on Apple's website.
