GPU Still not working after buying new one for iMac

Hi i recently just got a new gpu for this iMac i am trying to repair and the iMac is still not showing a display. diagnostic led #3 is still of (this LED indicated if the iMac is communicating with the GPU).I don't know if i installed it correctly or something like that but if someone could help that would be great. the iMac does do a boot up chime so the motherboard and psu is still working.

Are you able to enter into Target Disk Mode by using the startup T key once you restart your system.

If you get a display image you’ve proved the display is working, but the GPU board is not the correct one. This test uses the Intel CPUs graphics engine. If you are not getting an image the logic boards displays LVDS connector is not making connection to the cable or the cable is damaged.
