Did I mess it up beyond fixing?

I took off the back of my 3DS to look at the insides tonight to check it out. I thought I was careful enough to not mess things up, but when I was closing it back up, I found this little metal piece on my mat.

Did I break something irreplaceable? Because that wasn't there before I opened the backside up.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

The beoken off piece looks like an antenna connector thar came off with a little bit of the circuit board. Unless you know microsoldering, I don't think you can repair it yourself.

I still wonder how/if it'll affect powering on/game play. If it is wi-fi related, then hopefully it'll still work, as I don't have plans of trying to connect to another ds console. It doesn't have a charge right now since it had been years since it was last played and I'm waiting for a replacement charge cord. I did remove a considerable amount of lint from the charge port.

@alexciareynolds If it's just related to the Wi-Fi antenna, it might still work. I would try it and if it doesn't work, don't replace any components.

@andrewsawesome I got a charge cord and everything seems to work, including wi-fi, however it doesn't charge unless I jiggle and hold the charge cord at odd angles, which is its major problem to begin with. I think I'll take time from it before trying to fix it. I saw a guide somewhere that mentioned aluminum (foil?) tape and a heat gun to attempt having the port have a better connection.
