What is this connector, and how do I reconnect the cable?

I have been fixing some bent keys on my Roland rd88, and is now trying to reconnect this cable and connector:

It seems there are no latches to open.

I have this picture of another, similar connector type elsewhere on the keyboard pcb, but mounted flat:

Hi

You see these sorts of connections on Roland products quite regularly and they are a push fit type

They can be quite stubborn to connect but the best way of slotting them in is by lining them up and pushing them into the slot by holding both sides of the cable in firmly

Try and keep the cable as square as you can to the slot to prevent damaging the cable

Hopefully this helps

Any questions please ask

Thanks:-)

It's a slide-in type connector. Slide that back in and check of the component is working. This cable should be inserted vertically.
