Why does my brake light switch not activate?

my brake light switch works fine when i push on it manually with my hand but when i push down on the brake pedal it doesnt push the switch

Hi @tobiasjohnson

The rubber pad which is usually mounted on the brake pedal so that it sits between the pedal and the switch isn't missing from the pedal, is it?

This pad pushes on the switch to operate it when the pedal is pushed down
