Is the lightening port/charging port the same part on the iphone 7 and the 7 plus?

Hi Peter,
I'm afraid not. There are a very few parts that will interchange between different iPhone models, but this one isn't one of them. Because the 7 plus case and motherboard are much longer than the 7, the cable connection has to be longer too. If you're using a 7 cable on a 7 plus that definitely won't work, as the connector won't be long enough to reach the motherboard connector. That's in addition to the changes along the bottom of the assembly including screw locations, antenna connectors and other parts.
So the short answer is no, they're not interchangeable.

Can I use it to test if my iPhone 7 Plus battery charged though. My iPhone 7 Plus battery or charger port is not working causing it not to turn on. Im wondering if I use the charger port from iPhone 7 and test to see if my iPhone 7 Plus will open up
