If the Y button on your right Joy-Con is not working, there are a few things you can try before considering a repair:

  1. Calibrate the Joy-Con: Sometimes, the Joy-Con's calibration can be off, causing some buttons to not work properly. To calibrate your Joy-Con, go to System Settings > Controllers and Sensors > Calibrate Control Sticks. Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the Joy-Con.
  2. Clean the Joy-Con: Dirt or debris may be preventing the Y button from working properly. You can try cleaning the Joy-Con by using compressed air to blow out any debris or by using a small brush to gently remove any dirt.
  3. Check for updates: Make sure your Nintendo Switch and Joy-Con are updated to the latest firmware. Sometimes, software updates can fix issues with the Joy-Con.

If none of these solutions work, you may need to consider sending your Joy-Con in for repair. You can contact Nintendo's customer support to arrange for a repair or replacement of your Joy-Con.
