Coolpix S2500: replacing key button board, any tips?

Have a Coolpix S2500 with partially non-responsive buttons. Ordered a new key button circuit board with ribbon cable. While the replacement is still in delivery, I am wondering if anyone has experience with replacing those and any potential pitfalls I might encounter? Thanks in advance! :D

It is more like a sticker, but turned out prying the plastic shell apart to get to it was the most exciting part. (spudger helped). Getting the old 'sticker' off was easy enough after heating it up a little with a low-setting heatgun. Aligning the sticker with two toothpicks to the holes in the board and on the camera to make sure it aligns with the buttons later.
