Expensive hair straightners have been cracked

Hi guys,

My girlfriend's ghd hair straightners have been broken by my big clumsy boot! All inner cabling seems intact but the shell is cracked and split. However, it did not shatter and the shell fits back neatly, but it will require some sort of heat resistant/tolerant adhesive. Any ideas anybody?

Thanks

Bill

billzeebub, I am currently working on a Chi as well as a crock. Just out of curiosity, what straightener do you have :-)

Chosen Solution

billzeebub, I'd go with jb weld. Available at most hardware stores as well as automotive stores.

Properties (psi)

Tensile Strength: 3960

Adhesion: 1800

Flex Strength: 7320

Tensile Lap Shear: 1040

Shrinkage: 0.0%

Resistant to: 500° F

Should do the trick :-) of course not sure if it is available in your part of the world. http://www.modelsforsale.com/catalog/pro... looks like some pretty good stuff if you are in the UK. Hope this helps, good luck.
