Why is my phone tapping by itself and doing other things on its own

Is there anyone that can help me with any troubleshooting tips other than all the resetting or backups,or changing the screen protector I've done those things but still have the problem.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hey.

This is usually caused by battery issues.

If your battery has gone through many cycles, (meaning how many times you charged it and then used it), it's lifespan is now lower, and doesn't hold as much charge.

From what I know, it is the battery.

Rarely, it can be the the touch sensor, which is a transparent "glass looking" part that goes over the screen and detects you touching the phone. It is what makes the hone have the touch function. It is more than extremely unlikely to be the cause tough.

I am confident that it is the battery.

You will need to buy some IFIXIT tools, (if you want to use ifixit's tools) and a new battery, and replace it.

You can also take it to a repair shop, but if you are going to do that, there is no point on asking here, because you can just take it there and they can troubleshoot it.

It is not hard to change it yourself. You just need patience, and a bit of knowledge. There is not an IFIXIT guide on that, so if you do it, probably watch a YouTube video or something. Also, if you succeed, you can make a guide on IFIXIT yourself, helping other people fix their phones.

I won't guarantee that it is the battery though. It could be something else, so don't hold me liable if you change the battery for no reason. :)

Tell me if you fixed it!
