Laptop will not boot.

My Alienware M17 R4 will turn on, but it will not boot/display anything on the screen. It keeps turning on and off when I try to boot it.

I would first try to reset the RTC:
Turn off the computer.

  1. Connect the AC adapter to the computer.
  2. Press and hold the power button (around 30-35 seconds), until the power LED blinks three times.
  3. Release the power button.
  4. The RTC reset is complete after the power button is released.

Otherwise, are there any error codes? Does the power indicator light blink any sequence of orange/white?
