Hate to scrap it… any headway from anyone?

Trying same thing… just replaced T-Con on my XBR75X800H. Hate to scrap it… any headway from anyone?

Update (03/02/2023)

@oldturkey03 when I turn on the tv I see a thin horizontal cluster of white lines across the screen that then fades immediately… screen backlight is on, you can hear menu sounds but no picture. Swapped T-Con board to an eBay replacement, checked LVDS cable (which doesn’t appear damaged), checked for short on power supply… only thing I can figure now is maybe a main board replacement or try a new LVDS cable.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@daneyrolles what does yours show you? What do you "see"? What have you checked? Backlight on?

@daneyrolles symptoms like "horizontal cluster of white lines across the screen that then fades immediately" are a royal PITA and never really easy to figure out. Absolutely, this would not be a symptom for a bad T-con board. The fading part is what makes it strange. Go ahead and check your LVDS cables carefully, Check for corrosion and small tears etc. If you can it would greatly help if you post some good pictures of your boards with your QUESTION. I am in particular interested in the T-Con board and the LCD driver boards. Those are the boards where the cables from the T-Con board terminate too. After you checked everything let us know what you find out. If you did not find anything, you will at minimum have a multimeter and lots of patience with a slight sense of adventure.
