Hi there! My 50" smart tv Model: RWOSU5049 started to randomly have lines show up on the screen.
Shown Here

Im planning to replace the Tcon board (CC580PV7D) with (CC500PV7D) since I couldn't find the appropriate board, and was wondering if that would cause a problem.

Additionally, is there a component I could replace on the board itself?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Edwin Duong those lines do not originate from the T-con board. We would have to see if your TV has a separate T-con board or if it is integrated into the main board. I would suggest that you first check the flat ribbon cables going to the panel. Make sure there are no tears or corrosion etc. on those cables. It could be an issue with the LCD driver boards. Disassemble the TV. Post some good pictures of your boards and post those with your Question. Get a couple of cans of freeze spray and once we know what boards you have, it might be a good idea to freeze some of the IC's to see if that will stop the issues. For now, don't buy any boards since it may not be the issue. Also, let us know if you have a multimeter.

@Edwin Duong plug your TV in and turn it on. Measure VGH on the right side of the connector.. Let us know what that voltage is. It will be VDC so set your metre accordingly. You definitely do not want to touch anything directly with your fingers and stay away from the power board. It'll bite when you touch the wrong parts on that. ;-)

Measure the rest of these voltages

I have updated the question with further images, and do have a multimeter.

@Edwin Duong the ribbon cables to the driver boards, are they just folded over and then connect to the driver board. The tape is holding them in place? Did you already disconnect those before? The image is not clear enough for me to enlarge it to see the voltage test points. Give it one more try?

I just put my black probe to common ground correct?

by

@Edwin Duong correct. Meter to VDC Black to ground and red to each test point. Set it to a 50V range since some of the voltage could be in the 30V range

My VGH and VSS are fluctuating (VGH 24.6 to 1.3, VSS 0 to -6.1) . What does that mean?
