@cask747 this is the battery iPod Classic (Thin) Battery your iPod needs. Here is the guide for the repair iPod Classic Battery Replacement . It is absolutely doable. The hardest part is opening the case. Follow the iFixit guide for a successful repair. There are always those, that say that the battery in this iPod is not user-replaceable. however, they need to give it a try. We need to stop listening to that nonsense. There might be repairs that are above our personal skill level, but there are only a few reasons, why we should not at least try to fix our devices. It is the reason why iFixit is in existence.
