What type of SSD works for the Lenovo Thinkpad a485

I bought this Lenovo Thinkpad a485 that was broken and tried to fix it. The problem that I had was the ssd where I tried so many different types with the same connector type yet it showed 1-2, 1-2 light. Of course didn't turn on, does anyone know a proper SSD that works for the a485

Thanks

Hi,

The laptop supports two types of SSD.

An M.2 2280 PCIe NVME SSD and a 2.5" sata III (6GB/s) SSD

Here's the hardware maintenance manual for the laptop that may help - see p.67.

Here's a supplier that shows what types of SSD are compatible with your laptop. You don't have to use them just use the information that it there for your model.

That's weird it looks to me it can only fit a 2242 or 2230 m.2 SSD. I wouldnt expect a 2280 ssd

@Solomon Schuler

Looks like it takes both M.2 2242 and M2. 2280.

At least this is what it shows in the parts list for the laptop.

Click on Select Commodity > M.2 card (8) to view all the cards and card types.
