If you change the logic board with a other logic board that is iCloud

If you change the logic board with a other logic board that is iCloud free it is ok. The iCloud lock is in the logic board

Hi Aloysius,

As @ezzgen said, yes, you will get rid of the iCloud lock if you replace the logic board with one that is not iCloud locked. However, keep in mind there are other considerations to take into account.

Mainly, if you want your phone to still have Face ID functioning, you will have to buy a logic board that includes the front camera assembly and the earphone speaker assembly. All of those parts are paired to the logic board, so if you just replace the board without those other parts, you will no longer have Face ID and it cannot be restored by anyone other than Apple, who won't fix it for you.

If, on the other hand, you don't care about Face ID, then you will be fine just replacing the logic board. Just something to be aware of when shopping for parts.
