One of my two switch joy cons does not register the up input on its th

The joycon with the '-' does not register anything at all when I tilt it upwards, every other direction works. Can this be fixed? Will bw100 clean it to work again, ir does a component need replacing?

That seems to be the right stuff for it. If it doesn't work, it means something's electrically or physically wrong (slipped contact, etc), then it can be replaced, even with one from an old unit. If it's still not registering, then you know the switch was okay and you need to trace the circuit though. If you have a multi-meter, check the switch for continuity first.

I've never attempted any repair before. I don't have any donor board, so I'd have to buy the component. I haven't done any electrical work since the early 2000s when I was studying to become an electrical engineer. (I never finished). I'll just get some BW100 and hope it works, since I'm not sure how else I'll be able to fix it.
