Hi Alahmed,

I've got a Volvo with a slow leak in the power steering unit, and that's the behavior I get when it's low on power steering fluid.

Your rig actually uses automatic transmission fluid for its power steering unit, specifically it calls for Mercon ATF, so if you're low, that's what you'll want to buy. My Volvo is the same way; it doesn't use the power steering fluid they sell in auto parts stores, but takes ATF like yours.

Here's a video showing you how to check the level and fill it up if needed.

How To Check Power Steering Fluid 2006-2010 Ford Explorer - YouTube

Go out there and check your fluid level. Top it up if needed, and let us know what you found. Good luck!
