Why does my DS make a popping sound and turn off?

I just replaced the motherboard on my phat DS because it wouldn’t charge, but now it makes a popping sound and turns off.

@gjs28 a common cause for this are torn flex cables. You want to inspect those really carefully. Any tear in a cable will require a replacement. Of course, also double check your work to make sure that everything is properly connected.
