Pink lined display screen

Has anyone seen this before? I have the A1708 model.

Laptop has not been damaged or dropped. Worked fine and this randomly happened. The screen appears to come on around the 45 degree angle sometimes, which leads me more in the direction of some connection inside with the screen? Any guidance and feedback would be appreciated!!

Sadly yes, Apple had a bad run of displays. Most failed within the first year warranty. I’m surprised yours held out four years!

When the T-CON board logic heats up it causes this issue. I would visit an Apple Store, see if they will still cover the repair as a warranty exemption. See if you can get them to cover the labor cost at least.
