The water filter is located in the back of the fridge and filters the water for your fridge. If this filter becomes loose or damaged, it can cause water to leak out. To fix this problem: First, make sure the filter isn't loose. If it is, then tighten it and see if that fixes the leak.

What is the model number of the refrigerator?
Where is the water leaking, through a door, from underneath etc?
If the refrigerator has an ice maker or water dispenser, have you checked the water supply connection to the refrigerator is secure and OK?
