MBP Battery stopped charging

(Added Coconut screen shot)

Suddenly my battery is not taking a charge. In "System Info: Battery Info" it shows "battery installed: NO" and the battery status is not showing in the menu bar. MBP works normally with AC power, but shuts down when disconnected. I've rebooted and also reset the SMC - no change. Coconut is not even sensing a battery. I replaced the battery with an IFIXIT battery last May so the cycle count cannot be anywhere near 1000. TIA (MBP 15" Retina Late 2013)

Bingo! This is a bad micro-controller chip within the battery. You’ll need to replace it.

Contact the iFixit store to get a replacement battery under warranty. Sadly quite a few batts from a few sources have encountered this issue as the chip is a single source and had a bad run.

First post a snapshot of CoconutBattery here, then I would contact the iFixit store to arrange a replacement pointing to this question.
