How to remove a stripped screw from Pro Controller?

Block Image

I'm trying to replace the shell of my Switch Pro Controller and one of the screws got stripped. I've tried the rubber band method and the superglue method, but neither worked, and now there's glue caked in there. What would be the best way to remove it? I'm leaning towards trying to remove the glue with acetone and then using either a screw extractor or drill bit, but I'm unsure about the best course of action or the best products. I don't care much about the plastic of the handle getting damaged, as that's getting replaced anyways.

Hi @mhill6229 ,

I would use a drill bit with the same diameter as the screw head to drill the head off the screw.

Once the head is gone, you should be able to lift up the handle over the screw's threaded shank and once it is exposed use pliers to unscrew it.
