Why is the drum not spinning?
The machine turns on but the drum is not spinning.

Jamie Jocelyn Baker, There are a couple of things that could be wrong.
- Belt is worn / stretched and is slipping instead of driving the drum
- Start capacitor is shot and need replacing
Here is the tech data sheet for this appliance.
In both cases you’ll need top open the dryer up, and inspect the parts. Inspecting the belt is the easiest, as it’s just a matter of feeling if the belt has excessive slack between the motor and the drum. It should be tight enough that if you “spin” the belt, the motor and drum should turn. You shouldn’t be able to manipulate the belt without it moving both parts.
The start capacitor is what enables the motor to spin up. It can be hard to test, and most cases it’s simply easier to replace for a new and known good capacitor.
