Why is my Wii not reading discs and is quite warm when turned off

my 2006 Wii is not reading any discs. when I use the internet channel it freezes up and makes a loud buzzing noise. it can be used for anything that does not use (mii, photo etc.) game discs. also the console feels quite warm when it is off. it has stopped reading game discs since 2020 February (right before covid started) it also sound like its barley spinning inside the DVD drive.
