Kindle chipped from fall onto tarred ground

My kindle fell out of my car this morning as I was grabbing other things out and now there is a chip in it and the case. The chip doesn’t affect functionality but as it was a gift and I use it on a daily basis, I want it to stay in good condition. It looks like if heat was applied the plastic would melt into place but I’m not sure and I don’t want to ruin it. I just want to know if somewhere would fix it for me or if I can fix it myself?

do you know what model it is

@tech_ni Yes it is the Paperwhite 11th generation I think, or the newest Paperwhite edition. I only got it on Christmas.

@lucy56grace try having a look on ebay for back cover or battery cover, you might be able to find somebody selling 1

@tech_ni Do you know if something like this would be counted under the warranty or not?

by

@lucy56grace This wouldn’t be covered unless you have accidental damage coverage.

Is this the case that is damaged? If so you can buy a new purple case

It is both the case and the Kindle if it was only the case I wouldn’t be so worried.
