Touch screen unresponsive even after reboot.

I have an old iPhone 7 that when I try to use the touch screen, it doesn't respond. I've tried rebooting, nothing. I even went to a repair shop and they couldn't fix it either.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

coolguy, what did the repair shop try? Typically a touch screen failure means you need to replace the display, so if they tried a new display on it and it still didn't work, then you may have logic board problems. As such, it would be helpful to know what diagnostics they did.

@coolguy123 Darn, that's too bad. If a touch screen isn't working, generally the first thing to try is replacing the screen. You would expect that's what the repair shop would have tried; nothing else really makes sense.

So we kind of have to assume they put a new screen on and it still didn't work, but we have no way of knowing that for sure; for all we know they didn't have a screen in stock and so just told you they couldn't fix it.

If you still want to try and fix it, you're pretty much back to the beginning, where the thing to try is a new screen. Fortunately screens are getting cheaper all the time for these older models, so you can probably get one for under $25 USD, possibly even less. Check sites like AliExpress, eBay and Amazon for some of the lowest prices.
