TV screen is very dim after replacing new main board

So my aunts TV screen went out was the main board. So I replaced it and when I turn TV on your able too see the screen but it's very dim and when I adjust the brightness it doesn't seem to affect anything. I went thew some of these forms to diagnose the issue and found that possible the backlight board could be out what's the best way to troubleshoot this issue??

Its a RTU5540-B Rca

@shingo87 yes, what you are describing sounds definitely like bad back lights. Two distinct possibilities. One being the backlight board, the other one being the backlight strips. Schematics for the boards are not available so it'll be hard to troubleshoot. I suggest you measure the voltage to the LED backlight strips. If the voltage is appropriate, it's your strips. If it is not, its most likely the board. Post some good pictures of all of your boards etc. with your question. That way we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question
