Why is display showing charge cable and phone

I changed the battery in my iPhone 8 plus and now I'm getting this showing. Very disassembled three times and can't get it to come on.

@rbthud that means your phone needs restored which will mean you'll lose all your data, unless it's backed up to icloud.

Connect to your computer with iTunes running, press and hold power and volume down together. The screen should go black, keep holding both buttons and hopefully a connect to iTunes will appear on the screen. If it does iTunes will hopefully give you the option to update it rather than restore. If it does, click update and follow the process on screen. Once the firmware has downloaded it should update your phone and restart it with your data intact.

If not you will have to put the phone into dfu mode to restore it. Google iphone 8 plus dfu for instructions on how to do it as they vary per phone. Then follow the process on screen to restore your phone.

If restored you will need to input your email address and password to set it up again.
