plastic head strap holder broken

The thin black piece of plastic that holds the top of your head strap broke when i put it on, and now i only have the side pieces, is their a head strap that i can use that doesn't need that? and / or how do i fix the plastic piece

My dog chewed the speaker part of my quest where the strap connects to how would I fix this and is there a way to take it off

Maybe we can come up with a way of fixing it, maybe you need to replace the strap. To work on it, check something like this video or this guide Remove and Install Stock Quest 2 Strap
