Antenna replacement and no blue inductor found

Hello.

As i read on past post, my iphone signal is very poor (1 or 2 point inside house, no signal outside). The famous "Blue Inductor" has dissapeared, then i have a beautifull ipod touch.

Anyone know if this can be fixed and where I could send it without buying a new board? I'm from Spain.

Thank you so much.

Update

Hello, few days ago tried to bridging both sides joined by the inductor with a screwdriver and signal returns perfectly, the problem is that i dont know how to soldering this two parts?

May i use only a drop of tin or i must use a wire with tin on both sides?

Thank you so much.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi, i just used some conductive silver. Put some of it where the blue inductor was, let it dry and repeat that a few times.

Worked fine for me!

Do you guys have any videos or pictures on how to accomplish the bridging process of the Blue inductor?

Javier.

You just have to "replace" the blue inductor with conductive silver. There is no need to take pictures or videos of it!

I was surfing the web for a answer and I went small cellphone repair shops, and they said they can't repair it. Finally I came to this page and I went to Radioshack to see what they got. Bought two things

1. Magnifier

2. Conductive Pen ($24.99)

I drop a little drop of the compound between the 2 connections and Voilà, the Iphone got better signal than my stock Iphone.

thank you Javier you gave me the idea, in spanish.

Just create a little jumper to join to connections with soldering iron. No need to replace the blue inductor. It works every time for me.

The answer to your questions, how to fix the blue inductor coil causing a signal problem, the solution is easy we have repaired many with a 100% success rate. If you look at the signal antenna which you plug the cable into, simply run a wire from the left side bridge it to the right side point on the blue coil and follow it all the way to the furthest (right) component on the top left side. This will act as a 'bypass route' and your signal will start to work again.

All it takes is a bit of micro-soldering knowledge and some 0.1mm wire and basing soldering equipment. This will fix your problem guaranteed, providing it was the missing blue coil that caused your signal issue in the first place.

Kind regards,

Ideal mobiles
