Touch screen stops working randomly

Hello,

I really hope someone could help me.

My phone's touchscreen is becoming unresponsive at random times but mostly if the phone is not being used and I'm moving(in my pocket). The display works fine, if I am pressing lock twice, for example, the camera app pops but I am not able to press the caption button.
This issue is resolved if I restart the phone (volume down and lock button), but after a few minutes it becomes unresponsive again.
Also I noticed that the battery drains way faster.
This is how I tried so far to solve the issue:
-delete recent downloaded apps
-start the phone in safe mode
-reset factory the phone

This issue started at the end of quite very high altitude, not sure if this could be related.

Help would be really much appreciated, currently backpacking and don't afford a new phone or spending loads of money on repairing.

I have the same problem. Touch stops working after a while. Reboot fix it but only for a few minutes. Did you find the solution?

Mihai Margarit by you having gone done all of this

-delete recent downloaded apps

already, you would need to take it apart and see if there are issues with the connectors/flex cables etc. As for your battery draining faster, replace that and re-evaluate all of the functions. It may just fix your touchscreen, too. Just in case you do have to check deeper, use this flowchart to do so.

@amyhong every phone can be take apart, with the right instructions.

@amyhong Here are the instructions on how to replace the screen for a Galaxy A52. You can use them to locate the screen connector in order to remove, clean, inspect and replace it. If that doesn't work, chances are you need a new screen.

Hi, just wondering if you have an SD card installed? If so what might be happening is after you do a factory reinstall you may have viruses from the SD card loading up and freezing your phone up. I had 7 for a long time, then I realized what was happening. So what I did was download malwarebytes free from the play store and ran full scan then delete the apps and files. It was like night and day, no lagging and very fast.

I had the same issue.... touch screen randomly stopping, needed to restar every time. I took the mobile phone to Samsung Service and they had an internal cable chenged. It took oncly one day and solved my problem.
