iPhone 3G home button not working after dissassemble

Hi, I just dissassembled my phone to change the volume button and after reassembling the home button is not working. Any ideas ?

Update

@hectordtruong, nope it doesn't work. I should replace the dock connector then? somehow I managed to damage it, it seems.

Most common problem is that the 2 gold metal prongs on the back of the home button flex are flattened from being handled. a very gentle lift with fingernail or spudger to lift them to 90 degrees should sort it. They are fragile so go easy. Other area to look at is the top of dock connector where gold prongs make contact, if you removed the dock to get battery out when you changed volume flex then then perhaps you have put it back "under" the bezel screws and the dock is too low to make contact. Recheck your assembly of dock.

You're right, I had the dock connector wrongly placed, but still not working :(

Gustavo, try taking a pair of tweezers and see if you can bridge the pads that the 2 prongs touch. If this works, then the circuitry works and it is the home button ribbon the culprit.
