I installed the battery wrong in my iPad; What do I do now?

I installed a new battery in my iPad Air 2 and I put it in a little bit too close to the case, so the battery connector doesn't touch the ones on the logic board. What do I do?

Hi Levi,

You do the only thing you can do; go through the whole bloody process of removing the battery again so it can be placed down correctly. I feel your pain, having done the same thing myself, but there's just no alternative - if it won't reach, it won't reach.

Pro Tip: Before dropping the battery in place, plug it in first. That way no matter how it sits in the cavity, it will reach the connector. Just be sure once it's down to unplug it again before reassembling everything else.

Thanks, I was hoping to avoid it but I suppose I have no choice.

@levir I feel ya, but lesson learned, eh? We've all been there.

Good luck; let us know how it goes!
