@sufurd When your phone is turned off (fully powered down), press volume up AND power button simultaneously. Keep pressing until the Android recovery menu has appeared and then release the buttons.

Now, in the recovery screen, use volume up and down to move in the menu, select Wipe data/factory reset. When you’re on that menu, use the Power button to Confirm / select that option. Then select: Factory data reset.

Once confirmed, the process will take several minutes and once complete, select: Reboot now

If the Recovery screen doesn’t appear, check that the buttons are in fact working correctly.

I've tried that, multiple ways. By letting both buttons go at the same time, and while continuing to press volume up for a few seconds after releasing the power button, all to the same effect, the phone just boots to the main screen.

@sufurd Do the buttons (power obviously works) work properly once booted? As in volume control adjustments? If volume up is inconsistent, it might not be registering correctly while trying to access recovery mode.

@geirandersen yes, all of the buttons work perfectly.

Hi @sufurd

If the phone is still working have you tried using the factory reset setting?

Go to Settings > General management > Reset > Factory data reset >
Reset > Delete all.

Due to the parental controls, I cannot perform a factory reset from within the phone settings.

@sufurd

If the phone has a Google account attached to it, do you know the User ID and password for the account?

If you don't, you won't be able to access the phone after it has been factory reset either, because the Android FRP lock feature has being activated due to the reset and you need to enter the account login details when setting up the phone again after the reset
