Replaced HD on MacBook, Won't turn on

Replaced the HD on my Mid-2017 Macbook Pro (A1708) and now it won't boot.

As I was putting the battery cable bracket back over the battery cable while reassembling everything my screwdriver slipped and I saw a little spark (which might be my issue). I tried reinstalling the old HD, holding down the power button for 10 seconds, etc.

This is my wife's Macbook and I was just trying to upgrade her HD. I'm thinking I might have to replace the motherboard.

What do you think?

Yep you screwed up. Can't tell exactly which part without seeing the damage.
