Refrigerator water dispenser light flashing, not dispensing

G.E. Arctica PSC25NS 2006 refrigerator water dispenser light flashing and no longer dispensing water or ice - now nothing works on control panel. Ice maker makes ice. This happened after several weeks of inconsistent ice dispensing, with no problems during that time with water dispensing. Seems like ice would drop into chute and get stuck, and then the control panel would freak out.

Took off the faceplate/dispensing control board several times, found lots of moisture (black mold originally) around ice chute door, solenoid, and other plastic works. Cleaned all and then tested solenoid and switch for continuity - ok. Door flapper cleaned, dried - seemed to close tightly. Checked continuity of water valves, flow of water, all good. Replaced GE MWF filter a year ago.

Think I need a new/refurbished GE WR55X10586 Interface Dispenser ASM / Control board, which GE says is no longer available. Checked eBay and lots of others, not able to find this board. Any help locating would be appreciated. Refrigerator still works fine. Really want to get the convenience of filtered water back at the door.

There's one listed here (scroll down to 2nd row of parts) but when clicking on the item to get more info message says 'fails to redirect".

If no good for you either perhaps you can contact them by phone

Thank you. Have been there, got same error message in browser, called them and got the “NLA”. no longer available.

Have gotten positive results, hopefully, from SearsPartsDirect.com. Chat person said they could find the part I needed, Took a little while but came back saying they found it, gave me a link to the photo of it, both front and back, said their suppliers could get it to me in 5 days. Price seemed way high, like 4x what I’ve seen for others, but accepted it after getting 10% off, then having him add yearly filter subscription at reasonable cost, and then removing shipping costs, “saved” more. THEN I got the order confirmation email which shows the wrong part, an entirely different brand (and no way will it work), and possible shipping 1-3 weeks later. I will wait the weekend to let it settle out, and call them back. Again, ever hopeful it will result in the right part.

Anyone else have the same, possible, bait and switch from SearsPartsDirect?
