Screen is dark after replacement and face id not working

I replaced the OLED on my iPhone 12 and the screen is super dim and i am unable to adjust it to be brighter it is just stuck. the face id has also stopped working. what do i do here? is there something i can fix without costing me a lot of money?

when you swapped the flex over from the old screen to the new screen was there anything covering the front lens on the back of the new screen

It’s your ear speaker ribbon causing the problem. I’ve just had one with exactly the same issue. Disconnect the battery first. Then disconnect the ear speaker and screen ribbons again. Reseat everything then see if it works.

Have you updated your phone to ios 16 before you did the repair?

If so you will have to flash it back to ios 15 for any screen replacement to work.
