I'm trying to change the fan from my laptop. I have looked up tutorials for replacing the fan but I could not find a propel answer. So could someone provide the steps how should I proceed? Should I take entire fan/heatsink assembly?

Hi,
The fan is part of the thermal module. It is one complete assembly.
Here's the hardware maintenance manual for the laptop. Go to p.31 to view the procedure to remove the thermal module.
The part number for the module is 5H40S19963. Search online using the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.

If you can't find any good tutorials then you should go where you bought the chormebook and see if they can fix it.
