By "reinitiate", do you mean reactivate? If so, a couple of things might apply.

Windows will reactivate itself when connected to the internet, IF the version of Windows is the same as originally installed.

That means if the computer was bought with the HOME version and the PRO version was installed it will not activate unless a new key was used.

That happens often with "refurb" computers purchased from private sellers. Then the only way to get it activated is to purchase the proper key or reinstall the proper version of Windows.

If you need to reinstall a different version you can download a Windows ISO and select that version during the install. Once installed, connection to the internet will activate it automatically.
