iPad Screen Replacement - Improper Placement Concern

I got my iPad Pro seen to 2 weeks ago due to a dead spot that went across the screen. I got it back yesterday and I only just noticed that there was a gap where the home button is located, as if that part of the screen wasn't pushed in. Am I supposed to push that bit in myself or do I leave it alone and let it set itself in for a few days?

Hi Ewen,

Just to clarify, I'm assuming you mean there's a gap between the display glass and the case down below the home button, right?

Anyway, no matter where the gap is, it's a result of incorrect reassembly by the person who did the repair. When it's done right you should see no difference between the way it was when you sent it off and when you got it back.

So the short story is that you should take it back to the place you had it repaired and tell them to put the display back on correctly this time. Don't do anything to it yourself, as it could be all too easy to break your brand new screen.

Oh, and no, it's not going to set itself in.

Good luck; let us know what happens!
