Unresponsive after screen replacement

I followed iFixit's guide (and used their official Steam Deck screen replacement kit) to replace the screen of my steam deck. After getting it back together, the steam deck is not responsive. I didn't have any issue doing the replacement, I've done this kind of thing a lot, I don't know what could've gone wrong.

Now, when not plugged in, there's no fan or anything on display. the power light blinks slowly (on for 2 seconds, off for 5 seconds). When plugged in, the light stays on but sort of dims and brightens every second or two.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Steam support told me to leave it plugged in for awhile. I left it plugged in for about 30 min, came back, and eventually heard the power on chime (phew at least speakers worked). Eventually it even powered on and showed 36% charge and let me play a game! After a few minutes though it shut off and went back to this unresponsive state. So I've confirmed that the display isn't the issue, and that the steam deck can run. I think this is a firmware issue, possibly related to battery and shipping mode (which I used before starting my repair)

Leaving it plugged in overnight solved the issue, just like Steam Support said. It works fine now.

Having the exact same issue here. When you left it plugged in did it turn back on by itself or have to hit the power button every once in a while?
